In August we went to Hawaii. It was a blast! We were there for 6 days. We went to two different luau's. One was at our resort, it was a big buffet style luau and there were like 500 people there. The second one was a sit down one with individual tables, there were only like 100 people there. That is where Seth had his Beck's Beer!! Yum! (not really)
I also talked Seth into getting a pedicure one day! That was a lot of fun. It was in a salon with a bunch of little chinese girls working there and Seth picked up the awful little habit of talking like them. Most unfortunate! He actually said he liked it though! :)
One day we went surfing. That was actually pretty fun. The waves weren't that great when we went, they were pretty little so Seth had some issues getting going. I on the other hand was a natural :) Just kidding, we both decided that we wouldn't be coming to Hawaii to be surf bums the rest of our lives.
I also was able to get Seth to Faux-Hawk his hair, I haven't been able to get him to do it since we've been back. We went on a dinner cruise which was fun. The food was a little skimpy, Seth was still starving afterwards so we ordered some chicken wings from the resort restaurant when we got back.
One day we went on the Road to Hana which supposedly means the Road to Heaven, but I think that a more applicable term would be the Road of Hell. I, unfortunately, get car sick very easily. So we had gone about 3 hours, and it was very beautiful, but I had to make Seth pull over. We stopped in a little area that had some little shops and took about an hour nap! When I was feeling better we continued and then stopped at the Black Sand Beach but didn't stay very long cause it was raining and cold.  After that we went to the state park with the Seven Sacred Pools and hiked up to a huge waterfall. I would have put a picture up, but with about a mile left in the hike my camera battery died. On the way back home we had to drive in the dark. It was actually quite scary! The landscape was very dead and dry and we passed three different cars that had been stipped and burnt. All of the surrounding houses that we would go to for help, if we possibly broke down, were houses that did not look like you would want to visit. Luckily we made it back alive, both of us, with our car, all in one piece.
After that wonderful venture we decided to take it easy. We pretty much hung out on the beach every day and relaxed. Seth combed the beaches for Sea Glass and actually found quite a bit off it.
We loved it, we are very lucky to have been able to get to do that. We love you Scott and Sarah!!
